Alexandra Tannous – Lebanese National Team, St. Johns Division I fencer 2012

After only two meetings with Mark, my performance felt like it made a 180 degree turn around. After struggling for quite a while with my confidence and drive, I decided to make the initiative to get some help. Never having been the type to ask for help, making this initiative was a new experience and I had my doubts. Mark has a great inviting personality and his friendliness put me at ease, especially when it was such a novice experience.  In the initial hour I had spent, I learned more about myself, and about the interrelations that take place in my life, than I had ever expected. I’d communicate with Mark between meetings to “stay on track”. The night before a competition I had talked to Mark to help with some emotions that had been interfering with my performance. The next day, I had felt like a completely different person.…

Jess Simonetti, Former St. Johns University Women’s Soccer student-athlete, Good Shepherd Domestic/International Volunteer

I've worked with Mark for almost 6 years now both individually and in group/team work. His ability to immerse himself in the energies of others is very unique and special. I feel both pride and deep gratitude that the universe has placed Mark in journey and would encourage anyone to invite Mark into their journey as a very special gift/opportunity. Working with Mark, both inside and outside athletics, I have discovered extremely powerful tools inside myself that I didn't even know existed. I have come to connect with my self in ways that I didn’t even know were possible! Whether I was running to Mark’s office in between classes or soccer practice for in-person sessions or whether we have our sessions via skype from South America to North, it continues to be a life-giving process of growth, connection, and discoveries that I simply can’t describe via typing. Its just not…

Mark Macatee, Nyack, NY

When I began working with Mark, we created a contract which included a number of issues on which I wanted to work. Mark and I recently revisited that contract and virtually none of the issues still exist. through this process, Mark has taught me many things, including that I have the ability to face my fears, and that as long as I continue to work and be mindful, I will continue to expand my ability to live as fully and openly as I choose. It’s all in my hands.

Mark’s therapeutic work has been very effective for me personally. I worked with him to create the life I hoped to have and I now enjoy exactly that: a life that I get to share with a loving spouse and a beautiful child. He has taught me how to move beyond the patterns of the past and to recognize the role that my family and childhood played in creating these patterns. I cannot recommend Mark highly enough.

Mark has helped me open my heart and soul to the spiritual side of my life. By working with Mark and learning how to meditate, I have been able to connect more deeply to myself and to others. Both my personal and professional relationships have improved. I feel my professional work is now more in line with who I am as a spiritual person, as well. There is harmony between what I do everyday and who I am. This is the best gift anyone could teach us. I have immense gratitude and respect for Mark.

From the moment I met Mark, I knew I met someone special. I’ve worked with many therapists over the past ten years, each of whom have taught me something valuable about how certain events in my childhood may relate to who I have become today. Mark, on the other hand, lends a different approach to self-discovery and wellness. He focuses more on what is going on in the PRESENT and offers realistic strategies to conquer challenges. He does not dismiss the past as an important part of you, nor does he ignore the future as an opportunity to reach your goals; but more importantly, he teaches you to stay centered and calm on what is going on in life as it is happening. Mark is a gifted healer who listens, offers sage advice and truly cares about your well-being.
